Life is Strange

RANT ALERT!

I don't read horoscopes. However, it seems everyone's life does have a pattern. It's obvious from scripture that the patterns of our lives are determined by God. Yet, even Jesus was foretold by the stars. It drew in several astrological wise men from the east if anyone recalls. Sometimes I wish the pattern in my life was different.

It seems the pattern goes something like this: I overcome something that has been plaguing me and become overjoyed. I realize I actually did nothing and thank God. He leads me into something new that I don't think I can succeed in. The people around me expect me to succeed and I fail miserably. Everything I was drawing support from, plans I'd made, money I knew was coming, health, friends, family, mental faculties, start to fall apart. I become overwhelmed. God intervenes and I seem to get stronger I thank Him and it all starts over.

So far from what I've seen my wife's pattern is similar but somehow different. She's always going, going, going... Doing something I just don't have the energy to do. People undervalue her work and don't expect her to make it as far as she expects. They fail her miserably by not doing their jobs or by not keeping promises. After much prayer and deliberation she quits what she's doing. Then she does something else. When the people there don't work right she goes back to whatever situation she was in before and the people give her more respect, raises, praise, better standing, and more responsibilities. Repeat...

It's still stressful and God is there but He doesn't have to work at the same things with her. He has to find ways to make her patient maybe with people not as driven as she is. Yet, it gets noticeably better for her every cycle.

I decided I want to live my life like that for God. Noticeably better every cycle. However, if you keep doing what you've always done, then you'll keep getting what you've always gotten. So I've got to change some things. If you don't like your life's cycle I advise you find someone who's life cycle you do like and find some things to change. You can't become someone else but if you learn why they do what they do you can make yourself a better you.

Yet, have a goal in mind beyond that. I do it for God and there is a reward there. He's always been at the beginning and end of all my cycles. He's been in the middle of my wife's since I've met her. The sharing is enjoyable while selfishness would leave me empty.
